What is Aggies in Mission?

Aggies in Mission (AIM) is a Christian student organization whose purpose is to immerse Aggie students in the world of missions, both locally and globally.  We do this through service of our own as well as the support of other missions.

What does AIM do?

In short, we serve!  The bulk of AIM's service activity is the the form of local service projects and three mission trips--one weekend trip each semester and the annual Spring Break Trip.  Projects and trips are comprised by a variety of ministry activities--everything from tough, manual labor to relational missions.   Additionally, weekly meetings provide AIM members with the opportunity to connect and interact with other like-minded students while learning to grow as a missionary and planning ways to support other projects worldwide.

What is AIM's mission statement?

In fellowship and in Christ, we exist to spread the love of Christ through actions of service. It is because of the love of Christ that we go and serve, that all may see Christ’s love for them. We provide a place for lovers of the Lord to grow as missionaries, and support others doing the same.

What is AIM's theme Bible verse?

Phil 2: 3-4 "Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility regard others as better than yourselves.  Let each of you look not to your own interests, but to the interests of others."

What are AIM's spiritual beliefs?

We believe that there is one God eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Deut. 6:4; Col. 2:9; Heb. 1:1-3; Ps. 139; Mt. 28:19

We believe that the Bible is God's written revelation to man and that it is inspired, authoritative, and without error in the original manuscripts.  2 Tim. 3:16-17, Is. 40:8

We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, death on the cross to provide for our redemption, bodily resurrection and ascension into heaven, present ministry of intercession for us, and His return to earth in power and glory. 2 Cor. 5:21; Phil. 2:5-11

We believe in the personality and deity of the Holy Spirit, that He performs the miracle of new birth in an unbeliever and indwells believers, enabling them to live a godly life. 1 Cor. 12:13; 1 Cor. 2:10-13

We believe that man was created in the image of God, but because of sin, was alienated from God. That alienation can be removed through God’s grace alone by faith alone in Jesus Christ, apart from works. Eph. 2:1-10

As Christians we are called to be ambassadors of Christ. Part of being a good witness to Christ is being Christ like. If we as Christians look no different than the world, what type of witness is in this? 2 Cor. 5:16-21 We are CALLED to live a life that is above reproach (Titus 1:7-9).  It means living a life so that no one can find anything offensive in you but Jesus Christ alone. Whether you notice it or not, the world is watching to see how you will react to situations and people. They know that you are different.

Who can be part of AIM?
